This series of works depicts inanimate objects in unrecognisable and unfamiliar spaces. It leads the viewer to question, not only what the object is, but also as to the space.
Viewed in isolation the pictures appear to tell a different story, yet common threads link them together. Mysterious objects inject each derelict place with their own atmosphere, from intrigue and secrecy to destruction and abandonment. Questions circle one’s mind.
Visual imagery is displayed for interpretation on a daily basis. Commercially, images are seen to sell an object, a space or a lifestyle, seldom are we unable to distinguish what it is we are looking at.
My hope is the viewer will walk away still pondering and thinking about the imagery experienced. My personal work is very much a game.
